Help bring The Flutter Folk’s story to life

About Banding For Good
Banding For Good is a short, 15-minute Bond University Graduation documentary about Khaléla Romano, manager at The Flutter Folk. In late 2020 Khaléla had a great idea to bring creatives together through music, which led to her building a successful and charitable project in the midst of a global pandemic.
With music venues shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, creatives such as performers, photographers, videographers and venues have all been left with no work.
After noticing the harsh effects it was having on the industry, Khaléla launched The Flutter Folk, a self-lead initiative to bring together musicians, photographers, videographers, venues and even merchants through COVID-safe live-music events held in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
Her events all tell a different story, and she’s passionate about locals acting together to make a greater difference in the world. Khaléla’s business model sees over 50% of profits from the events donated to selected charities for most of the events she runs.
Banding For Good follows Khaléla’s story, what inspired her to start such an ambitious project with no prior event management experience and how her events have helped the charities she has generously chosen to support.
